About this event

The Warri International Film Festival, known as WARRIFF, is scheduled for 8 to 12 December 2026 in Warri. It is the festival's second edition: the first ran on the same dates in December 2025, and the founder, Alex Eyengho, has pledged to hold it every year.

The festival is open to all filmmakers on an equal footing, wherever they come from. The 2026 call for entries covers feature, short, documentary, student and experimental films, and skits.

Alongside the screenings, the organisers promise industry panels, seminars, masterclasses and awards. Venues for the 2026 edition have not been announced yet; we'll add them here when they are.
