Free trade zones

The Delta Special Economic Zone has two free trade zones: Kwale, built around a reliable gas supply, and Koko, beside Koko Port with access to the Atlantic. Investors in both get Nigeria's standard free zone incentives, including duty-free imports of machinery and raw materials, corporate tax exemption and full repatriation of capital and profit.

Two zones, one package

The idea is a complete package: Kwale offers affordable, dependable energy for manufacturing, while Koko offers a route to international shipping. The state flagged off the Kwale Free Trade Zone as the first phase.

Who runs it

Both zones are managed by the Delta Special Economic Zone Management Company. Incentives follow Nigeria's free zone rules and are administered through the zone, with the Delta State Investments Development Agency (DIDA) helping on state approvals.
